Reflection on "How to start a Movement"

After watching the video, "How to start a movement" by Derek Sivers, I learnt a really valuable lesson, that is, anyone can be a leader, and the ones that make him a leader are the followers themselves. As long as everyone cooperates and stands up for a cause, a movement will start. In my opinion, a leader is not a leader without followers. To be a leader, one has to make the first move in order for other people to follow suit. A movement can never happen without the support of followers as a single solitary person can never make a difference on his own. Therefore, I have come to the conclusion after watching the meaningful video on leadership that a leader has to take initiative and start a cause, and treat others as equal so that he would gain followers, with them following his lead, and start a movement. In other words, a movement has to have a leader and followers. Without either, a movement can never start.
