My Thoughts on China's One Party Rule

Advantages:
Time and energy spent on governing country instead on dispute between parties
No conflict over authority

Disadvantages:
No opposition of ideas from those who do not favor the communist way of rule
Illegal acts may be carried out as there is no other party to look out for them
Lack of political representation for citizens

Many officials are corrupted as a result of the one-party system. With no other contesting party on a look out, no evidence can be provided to prove such illegal acts or even individuals involved. These acts may include corruption, which is detrimental to the government as many funds which are intended for country's development or the welfare for its citizens as the funds are siphoned away. Yet, the affected citizens are unable to voice out their displeasure as they have no political representation. This is an aspect of the poor human rights as the citizens cannot even point out the errors, as they do not have evidence and their voices go unheard.

They have been able to progress as the government's only problem is to maneuver the country to a greater level. They can spend all their effort on it, and not on other things like party's' conflict over authority.

It will benefit in certain aspects but in a long run the cons will outweigh the pros. There is peace is the government and they can focus on the country's affairs, but the illegal acts would put the country into a problematic state. Such problems may not be too damaging or maybe not arisen yet, but will as time passes.

China's one party system is similar to Singapore in a way despite Singapore having many opposition parties. Singapore is dominated by the PAP, while China is by the  Communist party. The opposition parties only hold a few seats in the parliament which is very little as compared to that held by the PAP.

Singapore should not learn from China's lack of pressure on its governors, which allows many illegal acts to be carried out, but they can learn from their ability
to expand quickly despite huge obstacles in the way. While China can learn from Singapore's ability of ensuring law is well complied by the people.
